Accounts & Billing

Billing Period
Our standard billing cycle for dial-up, hosting, and programming and design services is the calendar month. All customers are billed on the 1st of the month for the previous month's service.

Late Fees & Penalties
Payment is due net 10. Dial-up accounts in arrears on the 11th are disconnected until the outstanding balance and a $5.00 reconnect fee are received. Web hosting and other services will be assessed a 5% monthly late payment charge on any unpaid balance.

Our bills and reminders are sent electronically and there is a $1.00 for bills mailed via US Postal Service.

Cancellation
Please send notice in writing to cancel your service (verifiable e-mail is acceptable). Include full name, contact number, username (dial-up) or domain name (web hosting) and the reason for your departure (optional).

Prepaid Accounts
Special discount rates apply to prepaid service. Should someone cancel service before the expiration of that period, the months used will be charged at the regular non-discounted rate and the balance will be refunded.

Suspending Dial-up Accounts
Dial-up accounts may be suspended for full months and re-activated at no charge. Send an e-mail to accounts@interkan.net to take advantage of this service.

Rate Change
We reserve the right to change rates when necessary to meet increasing costs. We will always provide 30 days electronic mail notice.

Unlimited Time for Dial-Up Accounts
Unlimited access means no metered rates. We do, however, expect you to be at your computer while connected to our service. Please be considerate to others and hang up when not actively using the connection. We will do our best to insure that you don't receive busy signals.

A continuous connection of 24 hours is considered a dedicated connection. Disconnecting and immediately reconnecting to obtain a nearly continuous connection is also considered a dedicated connection. A dedicated connection is a separate service from dial-up unlimited access and is considered an abuse of the unlimited access account.
